Patna, Dec 12 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday alleged that Congress was going to form governments in three states by speaking lies and its face would be exposed soon.
Interacting with media after paying obeisance at Mahavir Mandir near Patna railway station, Mr Adityanath said that victories and defeats were regular features of elections and it was the beauty of democracy. The Congress depended heavily on falsehood this time to ensure its victory in the Assembly elections.
The Congress` lies would not last long as the party would be exposed soon, he added.
BJP had contested the election in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan with full might but the election results were against expectations. BJP accepts defeat and victory in election easily but the opposition parties have the habit of putting question mark on EVMs in the event of defeats, the UP CM said.
When Congress had emerged victorious in the Assembly elections, it was not raising question mark on EVMs but had BJP won, it would blamed Election Commission and EVMs, he said.
“It is not proper to question Election Commission as it is an impartial constitutional body”, he added.
To a query, he said that he had never identified Lord Hanuman with any caste during the election campaign.
Later, Mr Adityanath called on chief minister Nitish Kumar at his official residence. He also went to a hospital to see ailing Bharat Sadhu Samaj general secretary Swami Harinarayananand Ji.
The UP CM will spend his night at Raj Bhawan before flying to Lucknow Thursday morning.
As it is, Mr Adityanath reached here after attending the symbolic wedding of Lord Rama with Sita at the famous Janaki Temple in Nepal's historic Janakpur city.
