Congress announces to contest ZP polls on party lines

Panaji, Feb 26 (UNI) The Congress in Goa on Wednesday announced that it would contest the upcoming Zilla Panchayat elections on party lines.
Addressing a press conference at party state headquarters in the city, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Girish Chodankar said in a meeting of GPCC and Congress Legislature Party (CLP) held on February 25, 2020, it was decided that the Zilla Panchayat elections would be contested and party lines.
'We had executive committee meeting of GPCC where it was unanimously decided to contest Zilla Panchayat elections on party symbol,' he said.
