Congress and BJP leaders indulged in mudslinging on CAG findings

Bengaluru, Dec 8 (UNI) Both the Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Coalition partner Congress leaders are indulged in mudslinging in Karnataka over the findings of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) to the effect that huge financial irregularities were committed during the previous Congress regime headed by Siddaramaiah.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, former Minister and BJP Spokesperson C T Ravi demanded Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy to constitute a House Committee to probe into the alleged financial irregularities reported in the last five years of Congress government in the State.
Alleging that as per the CAG findings there was a mismatch of over Rs 35,000 crore between the receipts and expenditure occurred during 2016-17 when Siddaramaiah was the Chief Minister and also holding Finance portfolio, Mr Ravi urged Mr Kumaraswamy to take appropriate action against his predecessor for the financial mess reported in the CAG report.
