New Delhi, Sep 25 (UNI) Alleging scams of over Rs 30,000 crore in e-tendering in Madhya Pradesh in the last four years, the Congress on Tuesday expressed apprehensions that the scam could impact the assembly elections being held in the state later this year and called for an intervention of the Election commission.
In a letter to the chief election commissioner OP Rawat, chairman of the AICC legal department Vivek Tankha alleged that the officers involved in the scam are close to the BJP and chief Minister Shivran Singh Chauhan.
‘’The scam can influence the assembly elections. Hence the election commission should take immediate cognizance of the matter immediately intervene,’’ Mr Tankha said.
