Cong will emerge as single largest party in J&K Assembly elections: Mir

Srinagar, Dec 12 (UNI) Asserting that yesterday’s Assembly election results for Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan has reiterated that divisive politics will not work in the country, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) chief G A Mir on Wednesday said that his party will emerge as the single largest party in the upcoming Assembly elections.
“As the (J&K) Assembly has already been dissolved and the preparations for elections will start in April, we are hopeful that Congress will emerge as the single largest party in the state,” Mr Mir told reports during a press conference here on Wednesday.
“You saw the atmosphere of the country yesterday. We have been saying it before as well that divisive and hate politics will be rejected by the people of the country,” Mr Mir said.
