Raipur, Jan 20 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party Vice President and Chhattisgarh’s erstwhile chief minister Raman Singh expressed confidence on Thursday that Uttar Pradesh’s ruling BJP would emerge victorious with an absolute majority in the Assembly election and said that the Congress’ performance would be worse than in the previous polls.
“The BJP’s victory is not only a claim by me and the party but also being confirmed by independent sources as well as various surveys. A political perspective of prevailing circumstances in that state make one thing crystal clear – irrespective of the quantum of effort invested by Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and other leaders; their outcome shall be negative,” he told UNI here.
