Kodangal (Vikarabad District), Nov 28 (UNI) Hitting out at the NDA-led BJP government at the centre and TRS government in Telangana state, Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said the congress party would defeat BJP government at centre and TRS government in the state.
Addressing at the largely attended public meeting as part of election campaign here, Rahul said both BJP and TRS governmen’s failed to fulfill the aspirations of the people.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had created difference among the people in the country and the KCR government in Telangana state also following the same, he lamented.
Rahul predicted the congress party would come to power in 2019 elections by defeating the BJP-led Modi’s government at centre and the TRS government in December 7 elections in Telangana state.
Stating that congress government had launched irrigation projects in Telangana, Rahul said the TRS government redesigned the projects and changed the names and increased the cost of the projects to get commissions.
He said that the TRS government in the last four and half years has totally failed to fulfill the aspiration of the people of Telangana in creation of jobs and provide houses for poor people.
However , he assured that the Congress-led people’s front will fulfill the dreams of Telangana people by providing 1 lakh jobs in 3 months besides waiving of farmers loans upto Rs 2 lakhs and providing old-age pensions of Rs 2000 for each.
Terming the TRS as Telangana Rashtra Sangh Pariwar party, he said KCR government had supported the Modi government at the Centre all decisions taken by the BJP government.
TRS government had totally supported the Modi government as both BJP, TRS and friendly parties, he said KCR had never dared it to say anything about Modi.
He said at the time of formation Telangana there was a surplus budget of Rs 17,000 crores but now the state had become debt with Rs 2 lakh crores .
Though the income of telangana people had not increased during the last four and half years , the income of KT Rama Rao ( caretaker Minister ), son of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), had increased by 400 per cent, he alleged.
He assured one lakh grant for self help groups and Rs 500 crore bank loans to them if the People’s front comes to power.
