New Delhi, Feb 15 (UNI) Congress spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill on Saturday wrote to Delhi police that he has received threats through e-mail, which threatened his family members of rape and killing of all Congress members.
"Dear Delhi Police, pursuant to my press conference held at Congress headquarters, I have received a threat email from id [email protected] threatening to rape my family members, kill all Congress members", Mr Shergill said in twitter along with the copy of threat mail.
He also requested Delhi police to identify the culprit.
The hate mail, received by Mr Shergill, was abusing the Congress spokesperson for his press conference over the first anniversary of Pulwama terror attack.
On Friday, while addressing the mediapersons, Mr Shergill questioned the BJP-led Union government for intelligence failure and the alleged role of arrested Jammu and Kashmir police DCP Davinder Singh in the Pulwama terror attack, in which more than 40 CRPF personnel were killed.
"The world knows that Pakistan was responsible for Pulwama attacks. But the BJP government is silent about the big intelligence failure and security lapse that led to the attack", he said.
Mr Shergill also said that the "BJP is the first to claim credit for national security but when there is a national security and intelligence failure, BJP remains mum".
