Cong reviews Haryana poll debacle

New Delhi, Oct 10 (UNI) The Congress party headed by its president Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday held a review meeting on the Assembly poll debacle in Haryana and discussed on the further course of action.
During the meeting, attended by Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, senior party leaders K C Venugopal, Ashok Gehlot, Ajay Maken, Deepak Babaria and others discussed various factors related to the election results.
Talking to the media, Ajay Maken said, "Everyone knows that the results of the Haryana elections were unexpected. No one was expecting such a result. There was a huge difference between the exit polls and the results."
"We have discussed various factors related to the election result, on which we will take further action," Maken said.
Yesterday, the grand old party had submitted a memorandum to the Election Commission of India alleging discrepancies in the EVMs.
