Cong reduced Manmohan to rubber stamp, undermined other institutions: BJP to Rahul
BJP Spokesperosn GVL Narsimhan

New Delhi, Jan 11 (UNI) The BJP today sought to repulse Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s accusation that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was undermining the institutions, saying that the Congress had during its rule reduced the very Prime Minister of the country to a rubber stamp. ‘’Mr Rahul Gandhi has no cheek to accuse Prime Minister Modi of weakening institution after his act of tearing down the ordinance on chargesheeted MPs passed by the Manmohan Singh’s Cabinet,’’ BJP Spokesperosn GVL Narsimhan said here reacting to Mr Gandhi’s remarks made at today ‘Jan Vedna rally by his party to highlight the hardship caused to people by note ban. Mr Narsimhan also said the Congress had shown scant regard to the institution of the CAG after it had indicted the Government over allocation of 2G spectrum and coal blocks. Moreover, the Congress missed no opportunity in misusing the CBI to serve its political ends, so all their hue an cry over the alleged undermining of the institutions under the Modi Govermment carried no conviction, Mr Narsimhan said. Mr Gandhi, at today’s Jan Vedna rally of the party, had said that Mr Modi’s demonetisation move had caused tremendous pain to the people all over the country and earned him world ridicule for his action. ‘’Never has any Prime Minister taken such an incompetent and badly thought out decision,’’ Mr Gandhi said. Claiming that Mr Modi consulted neither the Cabinet nor the RBI over note ban, Mr Gandhi accused him and also the RSS of undermining all institutions, which, he said was causing great harm to the nation.
