Cong office vandalised by Jogi supporters

Raipur, Feb 5 (UNI) Ensuing rift between Chhattisgarh Congress and disgruntled former chief minister Ajit Jogi faction has deepened further after a group of National Students' Union of India (NSUI) supporters owing allegiance to Jogi faction allegedly vandalised the Congress Bhavan here and damaged party hoardings carrying photos of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi.
A police complaint was lodged in this connection by CPCC General Secretary Girish Dewangan against NSUI state vice-president Jashmit Sharma and about 50 others, who allegedly ransacked the party office last evening following refusal of permission to hold an NSUI meeting on the Congress Bhavan premises.
The NSUI supporters, who gathered for the meeting over recent controversial appointments of NSUI leaders by CPCC Chief Bhupesh Baghel, allegedly broke chairs and office glass panes and damaged posters of the Gandhis while raising slogans in support of Ajit Jogi, who is currently charged with fixing 2014 Antagarh
