Cong MLA Vinay Kulkarni convicted

Bengaluru, April 15 (UNI) A Special Court for MPs and MLAs in Karnataka on Wednesday convicted Congress MLA Vinay Kulkarni in connection with the 2016 murder of BJP leader Yogesh Gowda.
The court found Kulkarni guilty along with 18 others, while acquitting two accused in the case. The verdict was delivered by Judge Santhosh Gajanan Bhat.

Chennai, May 13 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay heding the TVK government in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday proved his majority in the 234-member Legislative Assembly, winning the confidence vote non-chalantly with the backing of the supporting parties and the members of the Rebel AIADMK camp, after the 59-member principal Opposition DMK staged a walk out, while the four-member PMK, an ally of AIADMK, and BJP abstained from voting.
