Bhopal, Mar 29 (UNI) A Member of the principal opposition Congress in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly today urged Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to appoint a ‘waris’ (heir) in the Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board.
Mr Arif Aqueel said this while paying tribute to former Rajya Sabha member and ex MLA Abdul Ghayyur Qureshi during the obituary references. He said the members should vow to complete the unfinished work of the late members.
Remembering Qureshi’s contribution, Mr Aqueel said that the late member, who was also Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, made all out efforts to provide compensation to the victims of Bhopal gas tragedy. He said no body dared to encroach the Board’s land during late Qureshi’s tenure as president of the Board.
