Cong leaders overshadowing MP govt: Shivraj

Bhopal, Oct 13 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party Vice President and erstwhile Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan – who has been strafing the dispensation since the change of guard in the state last year – launched a political broadside again on Sunday by alleging that Congress bigwigs are pressurising the government into getting things done for themselves.
“Their policy vis-a-vis Chief Minister Kamal Nath is ‘generate trepidation and get work done’,” he averred during an interaction with journalists here when quizzed about recent statements by Rajya Sabha Member-cum-former chief minister Digvijaya Singh and ex-central minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.

“When Mr Singh felt that he was being unheeded, he took pictures of cows and posted them on social media. This is the game underway in the state. Not just Congress leaders, even minsters are alleging that nothing gets accomplished without ‘give and take’. I never imagined that such a regime would assume the reins. The flood-affected were not monetarily compensated and the cultivator is compelled to embrace death owing to ruination of crop. Had I been at the helm, funds would have by now been deposited in accounts of inclement-weather victims. Even the benefits of the predecessor dispensation’s schemes have ceased percolating to targeted beneficiaries, pupils’ scholarships are unpaid and electricity bills grossly inflated. Guest lecturers should be regularised and the manifesto promises must be fulfilled,” Mr Chouhan added.
