Vijayawada, May 28 (UNI) APCC president N Raghuveera Reddy today demanded Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to respond to the announcement of BJP National president Amit Shah that the Centre had extended Rs 1.75 lakh crore to Andhra Pradesh. Addressing a press conference here today, he said that Amit Shah announced in his Telangana tour that the Centre had extended Rs 1 lakh crore to Telangana state. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao vehemently condemned his statement and made it clear that the Centre had not extended Rs 1 lakh crore. But in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had not responded to Mr Shah’s statement of Rs 1.75 lakh crore finance help to the state by the Centre. “The Chief Minister should make it clear whether the Centre has really extended Rs 1.75 lakh crore to AP. If so, how did he spend the money” he asked, adding that Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley announced in Parliament that the Centre had extended Rs 10,500 crore and asked to give a clarity on the people on Centre’s financial assistance to AP. Mr Reddy said that the Centre had to fill up Rs16,000 crore budget deficit for which the Centre had extended Rs 3,900 crore and announced that Rs 138 crore only to be extended to AP to fill up budget deficit, and asked a clarified on the statement. “From 1956 to 2014, during the combined Andhra Pradesh state, the state borrowed Rs 1.16 lakh crore from various financial organisations. But during the last three years, Chandrababu Naidu-led government has borrowed Rs 1.16 lakh crore loans from various agencies”, he informed. The APCC president dismissed Chandrababau Naidu’s claim that industries are coming to the state, stating it was a bogus claim. Film actor-turned-politician Kavitha cried at the Mahanadu meeting in Visakhapatnam for being humiliated, which exposed the respect, Chandrababu Naidu is giving to women in to the party, he said.
