Hyderabad, Nov 26 (UNI) Congress Candidate from Gajwel Vanteru Prathap Reddy on Monday urged the Election Commission to take action against TRS President and Caretaker Chief Minister, K Chandra sekhar Rao (popularly known as KCR) for violating poll code by keeping money his farm house at Erravalli in Siddipet district.
Talking to reporters at Secretariat after meeting with CEO Rajat Kumar, Reddy said that he is expecting reaction from the EC on the issue.
The police and officials are involved in distributing liquor and money doing a favour to the ruling TRS, he alleged.
Contesting against KCR from Gajwel segment, he also charged that the EC, police are not functioning properly and they are targeting the opposition parties by ignoring the ruling TRS leaders from checking.
The Election Commission is not conducting raids on the farm house despite the demand, he said the police stopping opposition leaders vehicles and tapping phones and not doing so with regard to ruling party leaders.
He cautioned to commit suicide if the EC staff and police failed to change and protect democracy in this regard.
Accusing KCR for giving wrong information on holding , he said that CM has 337 acres and not 57 acres which mentioned in his affidavit.
It may be mentioned here that Reddy held a dharna in front of the Returning officer at Gajwel on Sunday alleging that his phones and those of his family members were being trapped and that they were being harassed.
