Hyderabad, Dec 7 (UNI) Congress Candidate from Kalwakurthy Assembly Constituency CH Vamshichand Reddy was injured when he was allegedly attacked by BJP workers in Amangal Mandal of Nagarkurnool district on Friday.
The Congress candidate, when he was visiting the polling booth in Jangareddypalli, as the polling was under progress, was allegedly attacked by the BJP workers by pelting stones at him.
In a statement, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Uttam Kumar Reddy strongly condemned the attack on Vamshichand and demanded stern action against the guilty.
However, the BJP said, the Congress had already conceded defeat and that is the reason for their (Congress) leaders making allegations against the party.
Mr Reddy's statement against the BJP highlights the Congress biting dust in the election, BJP Chief Spokesperson Krishna Sagar Rao said.
