Cong candidate Amar Singh wins from Fatehgarh Sahib

Fatehgarh Sahib, May 23 (UNI) Former Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS officer and Congress candidate Dr Amar Singh won from Fatehgarh Sahib reserve parliamentary constituency, defeating SAD-BJP alliance candidate Darbara Singh Guru.
Dr Amar Singh polled over 4.10 lakh votes while his nearest SAD-BJP rival and former Punjab cadre IAS officer Darbara Singh Guru secured around 3.16 lakh votes. Lok Insaaf Party candidate Manwinder Singh Giyaspura got more than 1.40 lakh votes and AAP candidate Bandeep Singh Dullo was able to secure around 62,000 whereas 12,973 people chose NOTA option.
In 2014 parliamentary election, AAP candidate Harinder Singh Khalsa, who is now is BJP, won the seat.
