Addressing a press conference here, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) spokesperson Avinash Tavaresh said the previous United Progressive Alliance (UPA) regime had sanctioned the Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB), an elite unit, to states and union territories.
