Conflicting reports emerge about 19-year-old's 'gang rape' in Bandra

Mumbai, Oct 16 (UNI) Nirmal Nagar police intensified their investigation on Tuesday into a gang rape case after a 19-year-old's father lodged an FIR against three youths who allegedly raped her inside a shanty at Bandra area of a city suburb.
On Friday, she was on a visit to her home in Bandra (East), where she met her neighbour Rahul Mishra. Mishra, along with two others took her to a shanty and gang raped her, the complaint said.
The victim, somehow, managed to flee from the spot and boarded a train to reach Nalasopara. Her father said that on Friday she took off from her Nalasopara home and came back after she was gang raped. Sources from Nirmal Nagar police revealed that the FIR was registered at the Tulinj Police station in Virar after the victim's father complaint and later it was transferred to Nirmal Nagar police as the 'crime' had taken place under its jurisdiction. An FIR was registered on Saturday and on the same day, the case was transferred.
