New Delhi, Oct 7 (UNI) As a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary, about 50 young writers from across the country will meet and discuss Bapu's life, teachings, contribution through his books.
On October 11 and 12, the Raza Foundation has organised the first conference of these 50 writers in the National Capital, in which the discussion will be focused on Gandhiji through his three books.
Eminent cultural worker and head of Raza Foundation Ashok Vajpayee told UNI that the conference has been organised to gauge how keen the new generation is about to know Gandhi and his ideals. In this, these young writers will discuss in three sessions on Gandhiji's autobiography, 'My Experiments with Truth', 'Hind Swaraj' and 'Gandhiji Prayer'.
The writers will be assemble from Kolkata, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Patna, Surat, Samastipur, Varanasi, Raipur, Chandigarh.
Mr Vajpayee said he has been organising lectures of famous historians, sociologists, writers on Gandhiji every month from the past one year. Till now, 13 lectures have been oganised.
Next month, the first President of the Czech Republic and world renowned writer Václav Havel will deliver a lecture on the Father of the Nation, he added.
