Buxar, May 27 (UNI) A compartment of a passenger train derailed near Chausa railway station on Danapur-Deendayal Upadhyay section of East Central railway last night.
Official sources said here that the compartment of passenger train jumped off tracks near eastern railway crossing of Chausa station but nobody was injured and also train service was not affected as the incident took place in the loop line. Sources said railway authorities with a team of engineers reached the spot and were trying to place the compartment on tracks.
Sources said 63231 UP Buxar-Mughalsarai Memu train was shunted near Chausa railway station to clear the main line for onward journey of Pune-Patna Express. When the signal turned green after the express train passed, Memu train started moving but since loop line was not connected to the main line at that time, the first compartment of Memu train jumped off tracks, sources added.
