Comio launches budget friendly smartphones in India

New Delhi, Aug 18 (UNI) COMIO the latest brand from China today launched its flagship handsets S1 and P1 along with the third smartphone, C1, in India.
The brand aims to cater mid-level segment in India which is the fastest growing segment.
The three smartphones priced between Rs 6,000 to Rs 15,000.
While launching the smartphones, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, CEO and Director, COMIO India said, “Entering as a new player in the smartphone market, consumer satisfaction and delivering premium quality products are our main strategies to fuel the establishment of COMIO in India."
"Our clear vision is to be the leader in the mid-segment smartphone category in India and create a strong offline brand. Over the course of the first year, we will build a strong foundation for the brand based on the three strategic pillars - innovation, partnership and great people. We are in India for the long run and will contribute to the nations ‘Make in India’ initiative," he added.

The Common features of all smartphones includes 64-bit quad core processors, dual SIM slot, expandable storage, 4G with VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS. All phones will come out of the box with the latest Android 7.0 and there will be no bloatware preloaded. All phones come with preloaded security solution including Antivirus, Anti-theft and intruder selfie feature. Jio users will get extra 20GB data with Comio smartphones.
The company also launched, a campaign 'Don’t listen Kar Daal', inspired by today's youth , who are willing to take on risks and go beyond the ordinary.
Talking about the campaign, Sumit Sehgal, Chief Marketing Officer, COMIO India said, "We are a brand that wants to work very closely with the youth, we want to lead their lives, culturally be with them and understand their sentiment. There are tons of examples in the country today of people that have gone with their heart, taken the risk and today are a big success stories. Through our very first campaign, we will build a relationship with the youth and connect with them one-on-one."

The COMIO smartphones will be available at all key retail stores from the coming week in North India and will be available from third week of September in West India.
