New Delhi, Jan 19 (UNI) Though UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi gave a miss to the ‘India United Rally’ at Kolkata, of all opposition parties, organised by Trinamool Congress on Saturday, Ms Gandhi made her presence through a message.
In the message, read out by Congress Lok Sabha leader Mallikarjun Kharge at the rally, she said ‘an envelope of crisis looms from our farmers to our borders’.
Saying that the country at large is in immense strain, the former Congress president said country’s youth are jobless, rice and jute farmers are in distress and fishermen are in deep loss.
