College student held for impregnating minor girl in TN

Nagapattinam, Sep 13 (UNI) All Women Police in Nagapattinam district of Tamil Nadu arrested a 19-year-old college student for allegedly impregnating a Class XII student on Wednesday.
Police said the accused G Praveenraj of Thiruchittrambalam village near Mayiladuthurai fell in love with the school girl and both of them had been in relationship for more than a year. After knowing that the girl had conceived, Praveenraj had given some contraceptive pills to abort the foetus.
When the girl consumed the pills, she had stomach pain and other complications. She was admitted to the government hospital in Mayiladuthurai, where the doctors examined her health and found that she took contraceptive pills.
