College lecturer ends life by hanging in Konaseema

Kakinada, Jun 24 (UNI) A college lecturer committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling fan in his hostel room in Srinivasa engineering college Cheyyeru of Katrenikona mandal in Konaseema region 50 kms from here on Monday .

The Police identified the deceased as Metta Venkateswerarao (28) native of Mangalagiri, Guntur district.

A letter purported to have written by him informing that failure in love affair had prompted him to resort to extreme action, was recovered from his pocket.

Pending further investigation, the body was sent to government hospital at Mummidivaram for postmortem, police said.
