Collector releases names of 18 persons killed in AI Express flight accident at Calicut Intl Airport

Kozhikode, Aug 8 (UNI) Malappuram District Collector K Gopalakrishnan on Saturday released the names and details of the 18 deceased passengers who were killed after the Air India Express flight in which they were travelling overshot the runway at Calicut International airport in Karipur on Friday night and fell into a valley by breaking into two pieces.
The details of the deceased in the order of name, age in brackets and district of residence are:

1. Muhammed Riyas V P (24) – Palakkad
2. Shaheer Syed (38) – Malappuram
3. Lailaabi K V (51) – Malappuram
4. Rajeevan Cherakkaparambil (61) – Kozhikode
5. Manal Ahamed (25) – Kozhikode
6. Sharafudheen (35) - Kozhikode
7. Janaki Kunnoth (55) – Kozhikode
8. Assan Muhammed Chembai (1) – Kozhikode
9. Shantha Marakkat (59) – Malappuram
10. Akhilesh Kumar (Air India Express)

12. Sudheer Variyath (45) - Malappuram
