New Delhi, Dec 19 (UNI) With the objectives to build stronger talent, keeping in pace with opportunities offered by the fast changing external environment, leading beverage company Coca-Cola India today announced change in the senior leadership. Sameer Wadhawan, currently Vice President Human Resources, will spearhead the newly created function of Franchise Capability & Business Transformation, which will be focused on building new capabilities and high caliber talent pool in the company’s Franchise bottling system, the company said in a statement. Mr Wadhawan will be succeeded by Manu Narang Wadhwa, who joins the Coca-Cola family from American Express where she served for nine years. She has over two decades of experience in driving transformational people strategies for growth, focusing on talent management, leadership development and transformation agenda. Announcing the appointment, Venkatesh Kini, President, Coca-Cola India and South West Asia said, “I welcome aboard Manu Narang Wadhwa as she takes over our ‘People’ function from Sameer. Over the last six years Sameer has shaped the talent development and capability building agenda within the Company. Manu and Sameer, therefore, have the onerous responsibility of shaping the ‘People’ agenda within the Company and the larger Coca-Cola system, he added. Sameer will continue to report to Venkatesh Kini and will take over his new responsibility starting January, 2017. Sameer has led the Human Resources & Shared Service function for over 6 years.
