Coal Scam:Pushp Steel assets worth Rs 14.53 Cr attached

New Delhi, Apr 16 (UNI) Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached two commercial properties of Pushp Steel and Mining Pvt Ltd worth Rs 14.53 crore in Delhi and Gurugram, an official release said here on Monday.
The probe agency’s move comes after the FIR registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) under sections of Indian Penal Code, Prevention of Money Laundering Act(PMLA) and Prevention of Corruption Act against the said firm and the officials of Coal Ministry for irregularities in coal block allocation.

Earlier CBI filed charge sheet against Pushp Steel and Mining Pvt Ltd (PSMPL), its director Atul Jain and Harish Chand Gupta, the then Secretary of Ministry of Coal (Government of India) under sections of Prevention of Corruption Act.
“During the PMLA investigation, it is revealed that the company in question was promoted by Sanjay Jain and Atul Jain after allocation of coal blocks by the Ministry of Coal, collected share application money from various investors on unjustified premium to tune of Rs. 23.88 crore which was a windfall gain of PSMPL and its promoters”, the release said here.
