Chandigarh, Jul 6 (UNI) Haryana Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu has requested Chief Minister Manohar Lal to rechristen Ballabhgarh Metro Station after martyr Raja Nahar Singh on people's demand.
Capt Abhimanyu has written a letter to the Chief Minister in this regard. He hoped that keeping in view the public sentiments, this demand would be fulfilled.
The Minister said that from time to time, the great patriots, nationalists and warriors were born in Haryana who sacrificed their life protecting the motherland. 'In 1857, our heroes took part in the revolution against the British rule. The martyrdom of King Nahar Singh of Ballabhgarh is incomparable and unforgettable who sacrificed his life for the freedom of Mother India. His entire life is the story of struggle, courage, patriotism and sacrifice. Many generations have taken inspiration from the life of Raja Nahar Singh and his life would continue to inspire our future generations also,' he said.
