CM never tried to influence me regarding findings of Parkash Singh Commission's report : Vardhan

Chandigarh, Oct 22 (UNI) Commenting on the reported statement made by Anupam Gupta, Amicus curiae of Murthal gangrape case in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Haryana Labour department Additional Chief Secretary Vijai Vardhan today said that since the day he was appointed as a member of the Parkash Singh Committee, he, along with two other members, have functioned with complete independence and neutrality.
When contacted, Mr Vardhan said Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has never spoken or tried to influence him regarding the findings of the Parkash Singh Committee's report. He denied having any conversation with Mr Gupta regarding the same.
He said the Parkash Singh Committee's report has been uploaded on its official website by the state government and the statement of Sukhdev Dhaba's owner Amrik Singh voluntarily made before the committee finds mention in the chapter relating to Sonepat.
