CM Khandu, Deputy Mein congratulate new Arunachal Guv

Itanagar, Feb 12 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and his Deputy Chowna Mein on Sunday congratulated Lieutenant General (Retd) Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik on his appointment as the new Governor of the Frontier State.
He replaces Brig (Retd) Dr BD Mishra, who has been appointed as Lt Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh.
President of India, Droupadi Murmu on Sunday appointed Lt General (Retd) Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik as the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh and incumbent Brig (Retd) Dr BD Mishra as Lt Governor of Ladakh.
“The above appointments will take effect from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices,” a statement from the President’s Secretariat said.
“Respect and congratulations to Lt General Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik, PVSM, UYSM, YSM (retired) on being appointed as Governor of Arunachal Pradesh,” Khandu stated in a tweet.
“Look forward to learning from your vast experience and working with you for prosperity of our state,” Khandu added.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister called on the Governor at the Raj Bhavan here to wish him on his new assignment in Ladakh and said the state will remain grateful forever for his guidance.
“Hon Guv @BrigMishra Ji always guided & supported us in furthering Arunachal's development…Sir, we shall remain forever grateful for your margdarshan,” Khandu tweeted.
“Heartiest congratulations to Lieutenant General Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik, PVSM, UYSM, YSM (Retd) on being appointed as the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh. I take this opportunity to welcome him and (am) looking forward to work under his guidance for development of the State,” Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein said in a social media post.
“I would also like to thank Governor, Brig (Dr) B D Mishra ji (Retd) for his support and wish him good health & success in his new role as Governor of Ladakh,” Mein added.
