CM Fadnavis mulls to collab with FFD to make Maharashtra Diabetes-free

Thane, May 18 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Saturday mooted the idea of making the state free of Diabetes and collaborating on governmental level with the Freedom From Diabetes(FFD),an organization working towards the eradication of Diabetes.
Speaking at a function organized by the FFD at Mumbai, the CM said, "Today healthcare is something that bothers the entire community. The amount of money that we spend on health care has increased three-four fold."
He said, "Today an average Indian, especially middle class',biggest botheration is the expenditure on healthcare. It is because of our changed lifestyle.Commonly we say that these are our lifestyle diseases and we have often seen that on one side since the diagonsis techniques have improved people tend to know that yes they are suffering from a disease whereas on the other side it is no more taboo to tell in the society that yes we suffer from the disease."
"I think all this is adding up and making people aware and now with the numbers out it is emergency like situation where we have to act and if we don’t it is like the entire community will perish,"mulled the CM.
The FFD has been founded by Dr Pramod Tripathi, who describes it as an "inspired healthcare initiative that enables diabetics to lead a healthy and stress-free life!"
Dr Tripathi claims that 6,000+ patients have already become free of medications/insulin from the FFD's proven Diabetic Reversal Programs.
The CM along with other dignitaries felicitated more than 20 persons, who were suffering from Diabetes for several years but now have become free of the disease.

The CM further said, "Today with the testimonials and stories which we heard from these wonderful people,I think now that it is absolutely possible to make Maharashtra Diabetes-free."

He asserted that the government would like to join Dr Trpathi's healthcare movement and added that he would be very happy to take this movement one step ahead so that it reaches every single person in the state of Maharashtra.
"We,in the past, did lot of screening for various diseases in rural and urban Maharashtra and the results are disturbing and we are required to act,"told the CM.
He mentioned that during the screening,it was found that the diseases like Diabetes and Hypertention have become very common.
Lauding the efficacy of the FFD,the CM lamented, "It is not only medicine that is going to help but it is protocol that Dr Tripathi has created and which has worked. To take that protocol to all and to create many ambassadors who can take it to people is some thing which we should aim at and I am sure that in days to come we should be able to do that."
