Patna, Aug 13 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said that the state has immense potential in Eco tourism and directed the concerned authorities to develop it in Valmikinagar, Manguraha of West Champaran, Rajgir, Gaya, Nawada, Araria and Kaimur.While addressing the 9th meeting of Bihar State wildlife Council, Mr Kumar also directed the Environment, Forest and Climate Change department to work in tandem for promoting Eco tourism in the state.
Mr Kumar gave his green signal to develop Raniganj Tree Garden in Forbesganj of Araria and asked the authorities to make arrangements for watching animals of Sanjay Gandhi biological Park of Patna through live streaming. Instructing the authorities to complete the under construction work of all ropeways, the chief minister asked the officials to expedite the process for construction of proposed elevated road in Rajgir for smooth communication.
For convenience of the tourists, Mr Kumar directed the authorities to construct an integrated building with parking facilities, restaurants and other facilities at the base of both old and new ropeways in Rajgir at the earliest.During the meeting it was informed that a nature awareness centre has been set up at Manguraha along with motorboat services, nature Safari ,tour packages, cultural programs to promote Eco tourism in Valmikinagar.In the meeting, it was also informed about setting up of a rehabilitation centre for elephants, Eco tourism at Bhimbandh, wildlife sanctuary upgradation of Kusheshwar sthan lake and Birds Sanctuary and Gautam Buddh wildlife sanctuary in Gaya.In the Veterinary College wildlife treatment and health management has been included in the curriculumalong with the pet animals.
