Cleanliness is a necessity to realise the concept of ‘Ayushman Bharat’: Governor

Patna, Sep 30 (UNI) Bihar governor Lalji Tandon today asserted that the concept of the world`s biggest health insurance scheme ‘Ayushman Bharat’ could not be realised until necessary focus was given on cleanliness.
After inaugurating cleanliness drive and tree plantation programme at Raj Bhawan here, Mr Tandon said that the concept of ‘Ayushman Bharat’ was also linked to cleanliness and so it should be given due importance. He said that cleanliness drive had taken a form of people`s movement across the county now.
Governor said that people should not only pay attention to cleanliness at their houses but should also participate in the cleanliness drive being carried out at public places, government and non-government institutes, educational institutes and hospitals. Cleanliness and health are supplementary to each other and so both should be given equal importance, he added.
