Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Nov 2 2016 2:32PM Clashes between police, mob leaves a police official injured in MurshidabadMurshidabad, Nov 02 (UNI) A civic police official attached to the Bharatpur Police Station was injured in a pitched battle between the law enforcing agency and a mob after a group of unruly youths invaded the stage at an event to celebrate Kali Puja in the Murshidabad district, police said today. The crime happened last night when an unruly group of drunken youths took the stage to join the girls dancing to which the organisers protested and a civic police official on duty tried to prevent them. This infuriated the youths who used batons and bamboos to beat the civic official, Sarad Biswas. He received head injury after he was hit with a stone by one of the youths.
