CJI sexual harassment case: Ex SC staffer appears before inquiry panel

New Delhi, Apr 26 (UNI) The in-house committee, which was set up recently to inquire into the allegations of former junior staff of the CJI against Ranjan Gogoi, on Friday for the first time conducted a hearing / proceeding inside the judges chamber's in the Supreme Court.
The three member in house panel, was headed by Justice S A Bobde and two other judges Justices Indira Banerjee and Indu Malhotra.
The woman was present before the committee and presented her side and defence before the in house panel, as per the source.
It was immediately unclear what transpired in the proceedings or hearing on Friday, the source said.
Recently Justice N V Ramana had recused from the panel and Justice Indu Malhotra replaced him as the third member in the committee.
