Civil Aviation Ministry grants ‘in-principle’ approval to four Arunachal proposals

Itanagar, Nov 20 (UNI) The Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India has accorded “in-principle” approval to four proposals of the Arunachal Pradesh Government, including the one for setting up of Aviation Security Training Institute near the state capital, official sources said on Saturday.
As per the State Government’s proposals, an Aviation Security Training Institute will be set up at Hollongi near Itanagar, and two new airstrips will be constructed at Daporijo in the Upper Subansiri district and Aalo in West Siang district.
The sites for the two airstrips identified by the State Government have already been inspected by an Inter-Ministerial team deputed by the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA).
