City police arrest two for posting fake news clips to social media

Bengaluru, May 3 (UNI) The city police have arrested two persons including a journalist, who allegedly posted fake news referring to the chief minister H D Kumaraswamy’s resort stay in Udupi district during this week.
According to official sources the police arrested Gangadhar and Ajith Shetty, for posting fake news purporting that Chief minister H D Kumaraswamy was enjoying his time in the posh beach resort.
The duo were arrested for posting fake news with an intention to belittle the image of the Chief minister, the police sources said.
