City Based SAI Group to Invest Rs 1000 Cr for augmentation of Steel Products in its Jamuria plant

Kolkata, Feb 20 (UNI) Steel maker SAI Group today announced to invest Rs 1000 crore to expand its Jamuria plant and augment production up to 1 million ton in next three years, the city based company's chief mentor Gopal Krishna Saran said.
The company, epecialised in making TMT bars ( thermo-mechanically treated steel) to withstand tremor and erosion, has applied for land acquisition with the West Bengal government for its Jamuria plant in West Burdwan.
Mr Saran said the market was now picking fast from slowdown and demand for steel and cement has been rising and " it is now time for investment in the steel sector."
