CISF detects gold bars worth Rs 7 lakh at Delhi IGI airport

New Delhi, Sep 13 (UNI) The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Thursday nabbed a passenger carrying two gold bars weighing about 233.280 gm at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport.
According to CISF, at around 0415 hrs, during a pre-embarkation security check through X-ray screening at Security Hold Area of Terminal-3, CISF personnel detected two gold bars worth around Rs seven lakh from the wallet of a passenger who had arrived from Muscat by an Air India flight and was onward bound for Srinagar by another Air India flight.
On enquiry, the passenger identified as Sajid Ashraf Zargar could not produce any valid document to justify the presence of gold.
