CII Chandigarh fair goes natural

Chandigarh, Oct 20 (UNI) Annual Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Chandigarh fair, this year, is offering a wide range of variety in organic and herbal food products.
The fair, which did not see spices from Pakistan for the second year, is also displaying natural products from Kashmir and Ladakh.
Lavender rose room and snow white walnut kernels turned into a visitor attraction. “These kernels will retain their colour for the entire year. The Qagazi variety of walnuts are another rare kind of walnuts which is considered best in the world”, said the owner.

Bhopal, Nov 23 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan emphasised on Monday that all precautions must be taken against the novel coronavirus but at the same time it should be borne in mind that the economy is not adversely affected.
“The public should be motivated to adopt self-discipline,” the senior politician was officially quoted as saying at Mantralaya while presiding over a meeting related to revenue collection.

MP CM directly checks status of schemes

Bhopal, Nov 23 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will visit cities and villages to review status of implementation of public welfare schemes, it was officially learnt.
On Monday, the senior politician visited various areas of the state capital and took stock of construction work and facilities being provided to the populace. The veteran leader directed his officers to ensure timely completion of projects and warned of punitive action against those involved in inconsistencies.

MP CM’s focus on empowering women

Bhopal, Nov 23 (UNI) Reiterating that women’s empowerment is the Madhya Pradesh dispensation’s foremost priority, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan underlined on Monday that his government is extending bank credit at 4 per cent interest and the remainder is being borne by the regime.
“This year; Rs 1,400 crore are being provided to our sisters and daughters for economic activities. Simultaneously, it has been decided that products of women self-help groups will be an aspect of government purchase. Items manufactured by them shall be marketed at malls,” the senior politician was officially quoted as saying while electronically transferring Rs 150 cr from Mantralaya.

Quake rescue preps in MP

Bhopal, Nov 23 (UNI) Tremors were recently experienced in some Madhya Pradesh’s districts – including Seoni, Balaghat, Barwani, Alirajpur, Chhindwara, Mandla, etc – with the highest intensity being 4.3 Richter in Seoni and its epicentre was just beneath that town.
“The state comes within zones two and three, which are not high-risk categories. All rescue and relief arrangements have been put in place in areas concerned. Citizens should exercise patience and there is absolutely no need to harbour even a vestige of trepidation,” Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was officially quoted as saying on Monday while chairing a disaster management meeting at Mantralaya.
