CID questions Abhishek Banerjee for over eight hours in assembly signature forgery case

Kolkata, June 14 (UNI) Trinamool Congress national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee was questioned by officers of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for nearly eight-and-a-half hours on Sunday in connection with the alleged Assembly signature forgery case.
He left the CID headquarters at Bhawani Bhavan around 8.20 pm after the marathon interrogation.
Beliaghata MLA Kunal Ghosh, who was also summoned in the same case, was questioned separately and later confronted with Banerjee during the investigation.

Abandoned houses burnt by Kuki miscreants near military encampment in Manipur : two nabbed

Imphal, July 11 UNI : A few abandoned houses of residents belonging to the Meitei community near a security encampment at a village in Imphal West district were burnt on Saturday by a mob of Kuki miscreants evoking wide spread condemnations.
Two persons were apprehended for their alleged involvement in the incident, inviting condemnation from Chief Minister Y Khemchand, his predecessor N Biren and others.

AAPSU opposes proposed move to include Kachari community in APST list

Five die of suspected asphyxiation in Shillong well tragedy
