Church teams to tour crisis affected areas of Manipur

Imphal, May 18 (UNI) Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Monday lauded the efforts of Church leaders working to defuse tensions arising from the ongoing hostage crisis that followed the killing of three Church leaders on May 13 at Zero Point between Kotlen and Kotzim villages in Kangpokpi district.
A ten-member delegation of Church leaders representing the Council for Baptist Churches in North East India and the Manipur Baptist Convention called on the Chief Minister in Imphal to discuss the prevailing tension between the two tribal communities.
Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho also attended the meeting.
