China to review duties on optical fibres from India

Beijing, Aug 13 (UNI) China on Tuesday said it would review anti-dumping duties on single-mode optical fibres from India which are due to expire.
The Ministry of Commerce said the review was being made following applications by domestic producers who said the local industry would be harmed should the duties be scrapped.
The reinvestigation will start on Wednesday and end within a year, the ministry said, reports Xinhua.
Single-mode optical fibers from India are subject to anti-dumping duties ranging from 7.4 per cent to 30.6 percent, according to an MOC ruling on August 13, 2014.

Single-mode optical fibers are used to make telecommunications equipment.
