Beijing, Dec 12 (Sputnik) The Chinese Foreign Ministry has no information related to the detention of former Canadian diplomat Michael Kovrig in Beijing so far, spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry Lu Kang said Wednesday.
On Monday night, Kovrig, who now serves as a North East Asia senior adviser to transnational non-profit organization International Crisis Group, was detained in China, less than a week after Canada announced the arrest of the chief financial officer of China's Huawei Technologies, Meng Wanzhou.
