According to the sources, the Chief Minister had come to the office of the Delhi Secretariat and was going to his chamber for the meeting. Meanwhile, the man standing outside the CM's chamber threw the chilli powder on him.
The security personnel have apprehended the man and he has been taken to IP extension Police station.
The incident happened around 1400 hrs.
The party has said that even the Chief Minister is not safe in Delhi.
Addressing a press conference after the attack on the Chief Minister, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) termed it as a dangerous attack, saying that Delhi Police has made a serious security lapse.
Adressing a joint press conference, AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj alongwith other party leader Raghav Chadha, said, "BJP's Central Government has created an atmosphere where anti-social elements are being instigated & promoted to attack CM Kejriwal.Attackers know they will get all protection from Centre.'

'Rogue elements who are attacking the Delhi Chief Minister are backed by the BJP. They wanted to attack the Chief Minister even on the inauguration of Signature Bridge,' he said.
'The attackers are being provided full impunity by the Delhi Police, the police has no intention to take firm action against the attack on the CM,' Mr Chadha said.
