Chief Minister Pawan Chamling inaugurates 110 MW Hydro Electric Power Project

Gangtok,Nov 19 (UNI) Sikkim Chief Minister PK Chamling inaugurated 110 Mega Watt Chujachen (East) Hydro Power Project on Sunday.
The chief minister said power generation in state has increased from 32 MW in 1994 to about 3310 in 2018.
The project has been installed by Gati Infrastructure and designed by Colenco Power Engineering Ltd of Switzerland. The project will use the water flow of Rongli and Rangpo rivers.
"The hydro power project would make Sikkim self-reliant.State has rich reservoir of natural resources and our strength lies in them.Without tapping these resources, Sikkim cannot develop," Mr Chamling said.
