Chief loco inspector in Mathura faces charges in assets case

Mathura, Oct 11 (UNI) Chief Loco Inspector Sawan Kumar has been served a chargesheet by the Vigilance Department of the Railways for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The inquiry, initiated after a formal complaint, revealed several property transactions that raised questions about the source of funds, officials said today.
As per railway norms, employees must obtain prior approval from the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) office before purchasing property, clearly stating the source of funds. The Vigilance Department launched an investigation into Kumar’s properties and sought explanations that reportedly failed to satisfy the authorities.
