New Delhi, Nov 20 (UNI) Taking a potshot at the Narendra Modi government over the state of economy, former Finance Minister P Chidambaram on Wednesday said "The Ministers, who are looking at full trains and nearly full airplanes, should also look at the PM-Kisan", which he alleged was "a failure".
"PM-Kisan is a failure. Only 50 per cent of farmers benefited in 2018-19. Only 37 per cent of funds disbursed so far in 2019-20, 3.23 crore people reported that they were 'unemployed'. Another 4.76 people are in disguised unemployment. Rs 95,700 crore involved in public sector bank frauds in first six months of 2019-20", Mr Chidambaram's family tweeted on his behalf.
The former Finance Minister is currently lodged in Tihar jail in connection with the INX-Media case, which is being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate.
